Title: Harnessing the Power of Modeling Tasks through the Lens of a Math Progression

Session Description: Why do we choose one task over another? There are many factors that teachers must take into account before, during, and after a task is taught but what drives our decision-making?  In this session, we’ll examine how the purposeful use and sequence of modeling tasks can build our understanding of what students know and keep their thinking along the progression of understanding.
