Title: The Power of Progressions: Untangling the Knotty Areas of Teaching and Learning Mathematics
Session Description: In this 2-day workshop, we’ll explore the power of math progressions. We will examine the developmental progression of models, strategies, and concepts in the areas of addition and subtraction (K-2) and fractions (3-5). Participants will learn to harness the power of 3-act tasks and other high-yield activities to identify where student understanding is along these progressions, as well as to keep student thinking moving in the right direction.
